Life at Noble’s Pond allows for a unique opportunity; here in Delaware you can experience the beauty of all four seasons. September is coming to a close and the first day of fall is just around the corner. It’s time to plan for some fall fun – because you can!

Apple Pie Making – Your famous apple pie is the talk of the table, with all the right spices and sweetness. Take time this fall not only to bake, but also to share your apple pie recipe so it remains a fall staple for yet another generation.

Books – Fall afternoons are the perfect opportunity to relax on the front porch with mystery novel fresh from our library shelf. The backdrop of changing colors and crisp air will sweep your imagination away to a land of spectacular intrigue.

Clocks Go Back – Don’t forget daylight’s saving time is Sunday, November 4th. Prepare to turn those clocks back and give yourself an extra hour of sleep!

Donate – Fall decluttering can be just as cleansing as a spring cleaning. Local community organizations and churches would be grateful to have your lightly used clothing, books, tools and furniture. In the spirit of thanksgiving, consider donating to food drives, coat drives and other charitable collections.

FireplaceOur home designs gives you the option for an outdoor fireplace.Extend the season with a gathering of friends and neighbors around the fireplace. If it is too chilly out, the living room fireplace makes the perfect spot to cozy up with a cup of tea and a favorite movie.

Game Night – Fall is the perfect time to have friends over or meet up at the community clubhouse for a game night. At Noble’s Pond, we enjoy watching our favorite teams or playing poker, mahjong, board games, bingo, billiards and more!

Jams and Jellies – Preserve the season by canning and jam making! This is a fun project for couples or friends that will get you in the harvest mood. Also, jewel tone jellies and jams make wonderful gifts to bring to family get togethers around the holidays.

Leaves Turning – Not everyone chooses a place with a view quite like yours. Drink it in. Like brush strokes of an oil painting, the woodlines gleam with yellow, red, gold, russet and orange. Enjoy the autumn landscape – go for a walk, take a drive, snap pictures – nature has a show for you!

Mums – It’s hard to believe these fall favorites have been growing since July. They’ve been watered, fertilized and pinched to perfection just in time for you to enjoy. Take a trip to your local nursery and ask about early, mid and late season bloomers so you can plan for front porch color through the fall season!

Oktoberfest – Happening soon! From September 21-23, come out and enjoy German food, music, Bavarian dance and of course Munich beer at the annual Delaware Saengerbund Oktoberfest in Newark, DE.
